Terms of service
The rules for using Meadhall, in plain words.
Last updated: 3 October 2026
Who we are
Meadhall (meadhall.app) is run by Nathan Preen (privacy@meadhall.app) ("we"). By signing in or using the hub you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it. How we handle your data is in the privacy policy.
Meadhall is a fan project for gaming groups. Lineage 2 is a trademark of NCSOFT; World of Warcraft is a trademark of Blizzard Entertainment. Neither is involved with or endorses Meadhall.
Your account
- You sign in with your Discord account, and Discord's own terms apply to that account. Keep it secure: whoever can sign in to your Discord can sign in to your Meadhall account.
- One person, one account. Don't sign in as someone else or pretend to be them.
- You must be at least 13, or 16 in the EU/EEA where the law requires it, and never below the minimum age Discord sets in your country.
- You can delete your account at any time from the account page.
Acceptable use
Use Meadhall for what it's for: organising your group. Don't:
- post anything unlawful, or that harasses, threatens or discriminates against anyone, or shares someone's personal information without their consent;
- use it to cheat, sell accounts or in-game items for real money, or break the rules of the game or server you play on, where that involves Meadhall;
- try to get into groups, accounts or data that aren't yours, guess joiner codes, or get round a limit or a permission;
- overload, probe or attack the service, or scrape it with automated tools;
- send spam or unwanted messages through a group's Discord reminders.
If you find a security problem, please tell us (see Contact) rather than use it.
Groups, and their leaders
- The people who run a group (its leaders, and the officers they give permissions to) decide who joins, what roles people have, and what the group records: events, raid timers, clan entries and so on.
- Leaders are responsible for their group's content and for how their group uses Meadhall, including members' names and notes, and any Discord server and webhook they link. Only link a Discord server you run.
- What a group records is visible to its members as the hub shows it. Don't put anything in a group that its members shouldn't see.
- Disagreements within a group (about loot, points, membership) are for the group to settle. We don't arbitrate them.
Your content
What you put into Meadhall stays yours. You give us permission to store it, process it and show it to the people it's meant for (you, and your groups' members), only so we can run the service. You're responsible for having the right to post it.
Plans and payments
Using Meadhall is free on the Free plan, which every group starts on; larger groups and some features need a paid plan for the group. The plans, what each includes and their prices are on the pricing page. Nothing is charged unless a group's leader chooses a paid plan and pays for it.
- Paddle is the seller. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the merchant of record for all orders made through the hub's checkout: it takes the payment, issues the receipt and invoice, handles tax, and provides customer service for payments and returns. Paddle's own buyer terms apply to the purchase as well as these. We never see your card details.
- A plan belongs to a group, and one of its leaders buys it. The price, with any VAT or sales tax for your country, is shown at checkout before you pay.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each month or year, for the same period, until cancelled, and Paddle charges the payment method used. If a price changes, we'll tell the group's paying leader at least 30 days before it applies to them, and they can cancel before it does.
- Cancelling. The leader who pays can cancel at any time from the group's Settings page (Manage billing). The plan then stays until the end of the period already paid for, and isn't renewed. If the paying leader stops being a leader of the group, Meadhall cancels the subscription the same way, so nobody keeps paying for a group they no longer lead. Deleting a group cancels its subscription at once.
- Refunds. You can have a full refund of any payment, the first or a renewal, if you ask within 14 days of it: write to us (see Contact), or reply to Paddle's receipt. A refund ends the plan it paid for. After 14 days a payment isn't refunded, but cancelling stops the next one. This doesn't affect your rights under the law where you live.
- Failed payments. If a renewal fails, Paddle tries again, and the plan stays for 7 days from the first failure; if it still can't be paid, the group goes back to the free plan.
- Nothing is held hostage. A group whose plan ends keeps reading everything it has on the site, its auctions and alliance pages included, and can export it; only new use of the paid features, and the larger limits, stop. An auction still open when the plan ends takes no more bids, and closes at its time as usual.
- Licence keys and founder codes we give out free of charge are not purchases: they give a group a plan, for a set time or with no end date, and aren't refundable or exchangeable for money. A key can't be used while the group pays by subscription; otherwise a founder code replaces the group's current plan.
- Paying in crypto, by arrangement. A group's leader can ask us (see Contact) to pay for a yearly plan (CP / Raid team, Clan / Guild or Alliance) in crypto. We agree the amount and how to pay, and once the payment arrives we give the group a licence key for that plan and year. We're the seller for these payments, not Paddle. The refund rule above applies: we refund within 14 days in the same coin, to an address you give us, less the network's fee; a refund ends the plan.
No warranty
Meadhall is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available, free of errors, or that timers, reminders or Discord features will always arrive on time. Don't rely on it for anything where a missed reminder or a lost record would cause you real harm.
Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of in-game items, standing, points or opportunities, arising from your use of Meadhall. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Ending things
- You can stop using Meadhall and delete your account whenever you like.
- We may suspend or close an account, or remove a group, that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you why first.
- We may change or stop the service. If we stop it altogether, we'll give at least 30 days' notice in the hub, and in that time you can export your own data from your account page, and a group's leaders (and anyone they let) can export the group's data from its settings page.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and for significant changes say so in the hub before they take effect. Using Meadhall after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to its courts, without taking away any protection you have under the law of the country you live in.
