Lineage 2 DKP system for clans
DKP in Lineage 2: points for epics, raid bosses and sieges that a CP or clan spends on drops. How it works, and how to run it on Meadhall, in the browser and with a Discord bot, for a CP, a clan or a whole alliance.
What DKP is
DKP (Dragon Kill Points) are points a member earns for taking part: an epic, a raid boss, a siege, farming for the clan. When something valuable drops (epic jewellery, a book, materials), it goes to whoever is willing to spend points on it. Whoever turns up most can afford the most, so drops follow effort rather than luck or being friends with the clan leader.
How a drop is paid for is each clan's choice:
- Auction: members bid points, and the highest bid wins.
- Fixed price: each item has its price in points.
- Adena split: the drop is sold and the adena shared among the members.
Decay keeps points from piling up for years: once a week every balance loses a few percent, so recent attendance weighs more than last year's. Without it a new member never catches up with the veterans.
The usual trouble with DKP is a spreadsheet one person can edit, and the arguments about where someone's points came from. That's why every point should be visible to everyone.
DKP on Meadhall
Meadhall is a hub for a CP, clan or alliance, with a Discord bot. It works on LU4, Reborn, ElmoreLab, Asterios, Scryde, E-Global and any other Interlude, Kamael or High Five server.
- Pools: every group has an Overall pool; on a paid plan add more (up to 20), one per epic for example.
- Activities: what earns points, with its pool and amount (Queen Ant, 10). An officer awards an activity to everyone who was there in one go, or to everyone confirmed at an event.
- The ledger: every award, purchase, decay and adjustment is a line the whole group can read, with who wrote it and why. A mistake is fixed with a new line and old lines are never edited, so the totals always add up.
- Standings: everyone's points by pool, on the site and in Discord.
- Claims with screenshots: when a party did an activity without an officer, a member claims it with screenshots and an officer approves it against the activity's checklist. On LU4, Meadhall reads the chat in the screenshot (English client) and fills in the claim.
- Decay: a percent (1 to 50), a day and a time; once a week, one automatic line per pool. Needs a paid plan.
- Auctions in DKP or adena: live bids. A leading bid's points are held, so nobody bids the same points twice or more than they have, and a bid in the last minutes extends the auction (anti-snipe). Needs a paid plan.
- The loot log: every drop, who got it, from which boss and how (auction, DKP, roll, rotation, adena split or an officer's call).
More in the guide: DKP, claims and screenshots.
DKP for an alliance
On the Alliance plan, CPs and clans come together under one alliance with shared DKP for every CP's characters, CP leads awarding their own CP's points, drop fairness between CPs, epic jewel allocation and imports from your spreadsheet. Clans in the alliance need no plan of their own: the leading clan pays. How it works: Lineage 2 alliance DKP.
A DKP bot for Discord
Link your Discord server with the bot's /setup, and points are always to hand. Every bot command works on every plan; /auction opens the auction page on the site.
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/dkp mine | Your points in each pool and your latest lines. |
/dkp standings | Everyone's points in a pool. |
/dkp pools, /dkp ledger | The pools and what each activity pays; the ledger, newest first. |
/dkp award, /dkp adjust | For officers: award an activity to several members or adjust one, with a preview. |
/claim submit | Claim points for an activity, with a screenshot. |
/auction bid | Bid on an open auction (or use the buttons on the bot's post). |
/loot add, /loot log | Record a drop with its price; the loot log. |
The bot answers in your Discord language: English, Russian, French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese or Greek.
What it costs
- Free: up to 9 members; one pool, awards and the ledger, screenshot claims (up to 50 MB), events, raid timers and every bot command.
- CP (up to 15 members): £3 a month, with several pools, decay, auctions and Discord alerts.
- Clan (up to 300 members): £5 a month, the same.
- Alliance: £12 a month, adding shared alliance DKP, drop fairness, epic jewels and imports.
Members never pay. A group whose plan ends still reads and can export all its data. See pricing.
