WoW Forever loot tools compared
With GDKP banned on WoW Forever, a guild needs another way to hand out loot, and somewhere to keep the record. These are the tools a Forever guild is likely to weigh, what each does best, and where Meadhall fits.
Three kinds of tool
- In-game addons hand out the loot in the raid: rolls, reserves on tooltips, the loot master's window. Gargul is the one most Classic loot masters use.
- One-job websites keep one list: softres.it for soft reserves, That's My BIS for wishlists and priorities. Both export to Gargul.
- Guild hubs keep the whole guild: sign-ups, attendance, points and loot history. Meadhall, guildmanager.app and Guild Order are this kind.
Most guilds use one of each kind: a hub or a sheet to decide, and an addon to hand out.
Side by side
| Tool | What it does | WoW Forever | In game | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Meadhall | Raid sign-ups, soft reserve on each event, DKP with auctions, EPGP, loot council with wishlists, lockouts, a loot log; a Discord bot | Yes: its three raids are listed ahead of 9 December; items are typed by name for now | No addon; a soft-reserve CSV for Gargul and LootReserve (items picked from a list only) | Free up to 10 members; £3 a month up to 30; £5 up to 300 |
| guildmanager.app | Roster, attendance, soft and hard reserves, DKP, loot council, wishlists, loot auctions; a Discord bot | Yes: a Forever page and addon | A Forever addon, installed by its desktop app, that records drops and rolls | Free, members unlimited; loot auctions are in Core, $19.99 a month |
| Guild Order | A guild website with a Loot Ledger (soft and hard reserve, DKP, EPGP), raid sign-ups and attendance; a Discord bot | Yes: a Forever hub and wiki | Desktop and mobile apps | From $3.99 a month (30 members), 14-day trial |
| That's My BIS | Wishlists, priorities, loot council, attendance and loot history; no DKP | Yes: Forever loot tables | An export for Gargul | Free with ads; Patreon |
| softres.it | Soft, hard and bonus reserves on a sheet anyone with the link can fill | Forever is in its edition list; check whether it's open yet | Exports for Gargul, LootReserve and WeakAuras | Free with ads; $2 a month removes them |
| Gargul | The loot master's addon: rolls, soft reserves and That's My BIS lists imported, plus-ones | Yes: a Forever version on CurseForge | It is the addon | Free |
The others' details are from their own sites and CurseForge pages, as read on 22 October 2026; their own sites are the final word. Raid-Helper, the most-used sign-up bot, is compared on its own page.
What the others do better
- guildmanager.app has an addon for Forever: drops and rolls recorded in game, several officers' logs merged into one raid report, and no member limit on its free plan.
- Guild Order gives a guild its own website, in 14 languages.
- That's My BIS already has Forever's loot tables, and the deepest wishlist and priority tools.
- softres.it is the quickest for a pick-up group: one link, no sign-in, hard and bonus reserves.
- Gargul is where the loot is actually handed out; every website here feeds it.
Where Meadhall is different
- DKP auctions that can't be gamed: a leading bid's points are held, so nobody bids the same points twice; a late bid pushes the close back. On a paid plan, from £3 a month.
- Everything on the raid event: who signed up, their soft reserves, attendance that pays DKP or EP in one step, and the drops in the loot log.
- Loot council with the evidence: when the council gives an item, it sees who wished for it and what each has received from that raid in the last 8 weeks.
- EPGP and loot council on the free plan, and no ads.
- No gold: on Forever, auctions run in DKP only, as Blizzard's GDKP ban asks.
And what it doesn't do yet: there's no Meadhall addon, so drops handed out in game are recorded again on the site. Forever's items are typed by name until Battle.net lists them, and its soft-reserve export to Gargul takes only items picked from a list, so a Forever export is empty for now.
Which to use
- A pick-up group: softres.it and Gargul.
- A guild that wants wishlists and priorities on top of its own sign-ups: That's My BIS and Gargul.
- A guild that wants sign-ups, points and the loot record in one place, with a Discord bot: Meadhall, guildmanager.app or Guild Order. Meadhall if you want DKP auctions or EPGP without paying for a big plan; guildmanager.app if you want an addon now; Guild Order if you want a guild website.
What Meadhall costs
A group of up to 10 is free: enough for Barrow Deeps. A raid team of up to 30 is £3 a month (Hyjal Summit and a bench), and a guild of up to 300 is £5 (a 40-player Onyxia raid); both add DKP auctions. Members never pay. See pricing.
