The desktop reader

Meadhall Reader: a Windows app for a Lineage 2 LU4 party leader that counts the party's loot, adena, kills and XP from the chat during a farm session.

Not available to download yet. The download page, meadhall.app/desktop, says so until the first release is published. This page says what it will do.

What it does

  • You pick the game window and draw a box around the chat panel. It reads only that box, as pixels, with Windows' own text recognition.
  • It counts party loot per member, adena, your own kills and XP, per hour, while you press Start / Pause / Stop. Lines it's unsure of are flagged for you to keep, fix or drop at the end.
  • An optional adena split: a percentage to the CP fund first, then shared among the members you tick.
  • At the end: Export CSV, Export session file, or Copy for Discord.
  • It never touches the game's memory, files or network traffic, and sends no input. No image is saved. Nothing leaves your PC except its check for updates.
  • It reads English game text for now.

It isn't connected to your Meadhall account yet: sessions aren't uploaded to your group.

Read this before you use it

LU4's rules forbid third-party software that collects information from the game, and punish the whole party, up to suspension. The server's support wouldn't say whether an app like this is allowed. Use it at your own risk and your party's, and tell your party first. Meadhall doesn't call it approved, safe or undetectable.

The recommended way is still a screenshot uploaded to the hub, which runs nothing beside the game: see reading a screenshot.
